Team-Building Weekend

It's always important to reconnect with our roots from time to time. This is exactly what we did during the weekend of the 17th-18th September 2016, out in the Belgian Ardennes at a place called Moulin Du Ruy, where the members of our club joined in a team-building weekend.

Sunshine and good humour all about, the weekend began with a good party on Friday night that went on until the last item standing was probably the funky ball bottle itself. On Saturday we got the barbecue going and played some intense baseball, spikeball and Frisbee golf. The activities of the evening were a musical quizz, a giant funky ball in the dining hall and ended as did Friday night -- late, and with a few (or more than just a few) good beers having been drunk. Sunday highlight was a long walk through the surrounding forest, interspersed with good (or maybe not always so good) jokes and long sessions of "Tu préfères...".

The Mooncatchers may be an ultimate Frisbee club, but we will always be a family before anything else. This weekend reminded us of that, far away from the fields and competitions and the associated conflicts than sports sometimes instigates.

Next step: EUCF - Frankfurt, stay tuned.
